His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver

Metropolitan Isaiah is a native of Portsmouth New Hampshire. He is a former Marine, and is a graduate of Holy Cross School of Theology and of the Theological School of Halki.

His first assignment was in this Metropolis, as Assistant Priest at Holy Trinity Parish in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also served as Proistamenos of Saint John the Baptist parish in Youngstown, Ohio, and as Chancellor of the Chicago Diocese. He later served the Late Archbishop Iakovos as Chancellor of the Archdiocese in New York.

Chancery

The Chancery offices are located in the Metropolis Center, located adjacent to the Cathedral of the Assumption in Denver, Colorado.

A Metropolis Chancery, or Episkopi, is an ecclesiastical administrative office supporting the work of the Metropolitan. The Chancery handles all written documents used in the official administration of a Metropolis.

The Chancellor, or Protosygellos, is the principal deputy of the Metropolitan in the exercise of his administrative authority. He is charged with the execution of these duties of the chancery office and is assisted by the Metropolis staff which he supervises. The Chancellor also fulfills the duties normally assigned to a Vicar General in western churches, .

The Registry function of the Chancery processes and maintains all documents related to the administration of the Sacred Mysteries (Sacraments).

Father Luke has served as Chancellor to Metropolitan Isaiah since 1993. He is a native of this Metropolis, born in Dallas, Texas. He is a former naval officer, and later worked as a civilian for the Navy.

Father Luke was ordained to the diaconate and priesthood at Saint Nicholas parish in Virginia Beach, Virginia where he served as Assistant to Father George Paulson.

In addition to his responsibilities as Chancellor, Father Luke is the Endorsing Agent for priests seeking to serve as Chaplains in the US Armed Forces and Veterans Administration.

Reverend Hieromonk Ambrose Omayas

Father Ambrose is a native of Hawaii, and was a Franciscan monk in the Capuchin Order of the Roman Catholic Church. He entered the Orthodox Church through the Antiochian Archdiocese, and was ordained to the diaconate and priesthood by Bishop Antoun at Saint Herman parish in Littleton, Colorado. He is presently on loan from the Antiochian Archdiocese to the Metropolis of Denver

Father Ambrose served as an assistant at Saint Augustine Antiochian parish in Denver. He also served as an assistant at both Saint Catherine and Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox parishes. He additionally served as chaplain at the Orthodox Community Outreach Center and at the Hospice of Saint John in Denver.

Father Ambrose was tonsured into the Great Schema at the Holy Monastery of the Archangel Michael at Tharri on Rhodes, Greece by then-Archimandrite Amphilochios (now Metropolitan of New Zealand).

Father Paul is a native of the Metropolis, born in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He grew up participating in the youth programs of his parish, Saints Constantine and Helen, and of the Diocese of Denver.

Father Paul has served as "Youth Director" of the Metropolis since 2000. He coordinates Metropolis Youth Activities and he provides youth worker training to the parishes.

Presvytera Ruth is also a native of this Metropolis, born in Dallas, Texas. She has university degrees in both Classical Archaeology and in Theology.

Presvytera Ruth has served as Registrar and secretary to Metropolitan Isaiah since 2000. Along with Father Ambrose she is often the "voice" of the Metropolis, answering the phone for the Chancery office.
