Clergy are treated in a special way under state statutes. They are "required reporters" of abuse, and are also granted exemption under certain circumstances from disclosing what has been told to them in Confession. Archdiocese Sexual Misconduct Policy

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denverwill not tolerate Sexual Misconduct by Clergy.

A telephone hotline - (877) 554-3382 - has been established to answer questions regarding the policy and to accept complaints relating to sexual misconduct by clergy. All calls with questions or complaints will be taken seriously and allegations will be investigated fully and impartially. Callers can ask to speak with a male or female volunteer in either Greek or English. Calls may also be made directly to the Archdiocesan Chancellor's Office, (212) 570-3513.
