The Orthodox Internet |
|
The Internet has become the communication medium for the first decade of the twenty-first century. According to Arbitron, the US radio audience research company, internet radio "is emerging today in the same way FM radio did in the 1970's and cable television did in the 1980's." In the midst of so much music and information that, while popular, does not fill the heart or satisfy the soul, there are an increasing number of internet radio stations providing quality Orthodox programming. You will need to download and install software such as Windows Media Player, Real Player, or iTunes on your computer to listen to these broadcasts. Links for these downloads are available on the following web pages. |

Orthodox Podcasts |
| A Podcast is like a recorded radio show that can be downloaded from the Internet. Unlike streaming media over the Internet, podcasts are usually downloaded to a user's computer for later listening. Using special software, you can "subscribe" to a podcast and new episodes will automatically be downloaded to your computer. If you use an Apple iPod portable music player, new episodes can also be automatically transferred to your iPod so you can listen to a podcast when away from your computer. |
