Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church of America to Visit Denver

His Eminence, Archbishop Elpidophoros, Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church of America and Representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, made his first pastoral visit to the Metropolis of Denver in February.

During this historic visit, the Archbishop met with His Eminence, Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver, local clergy and lay leaders. He presiding over Great Vespers on Saturday evening at St. Catherine parish in Greenwood Village, which is a southern suburb of Denver and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning at the Assumption of the Theotokos Cathedral in Denver.

Archbishop Elpidophoros of America is the head of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America which includes over 550 parishes nationwide.  He was elevated to his present position in 2019 as the official representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople overseeing all Greek Orthodox parishes in America.
