Parish Stationery Guidelines

The Uniform Parish Regulations require that each parish use the authorized logo of the Archdiocese and the name of its Metropolis on its stationery and publications. To facilitate implementation of this requirement, the Archdiocese has produced a Graphic Standards Manual for Parishes.

To fulfill this requirement, the parish is to use its respective metropolis seal, which contains both the Archdiocesan seal and the name of the metropolis.

Parishes which have used their own seal to represent the visual identity of the parish, are required to have adopted use of the official seal of the Archdiocese in their stationery for all forms of correspondence, no later than January 2005.

Parish stationery should include the following standard template options provided by the Archdiocese:

The approved paper colors and weights for parish stationery are as follows:

  • Formal Letterhead and Envelopes: Strathmore 24 lb. Writing, natural white

  • Informal Letterhead and Envelopes: 20 lb. Plain white bond

The Archdiocese recommends the following fonts for the typing of all parish correspondence:

  • Windows: Times New Roman

  • Macintosh: Times
